Intersect Power

As a very belated update, as of August 2016 I returned to my roots in utility scale solar development by co-founding Intersect Power.  We're now 2yrs into things with a pipeline approaching 2GW and over 500MW of contracted projects.  I've wound down most of the investments and consulting that my wife and I had done thru Kokosing Capital, but it remains a business vehicle to hold many of these investments and we will likely return to it at various points in the future.  For now, Intersect Power is keeping me more than a little busy.  Check us out at...

I've been invited to speak at the annual Haas Alumni gathering in San Francisco.  In preparation for the event, I've been trying to piece together my various opinions on the state of energy into some kind of cohesive view point.  Frankly it's something that's long overdue.  I've spent my career following my nose through the industry, finding the profitable niches and developing some deeply held opinions on the future of various technologies, commodities and business models.  I hope that the work I am currently doing will result in a few good blog posts and a decent result for the Haas event.  It may be the case that nobody cares or is interested in the final result, but in the meantime, I'm having a good deal of fun pulling it all together.  Stay tuned...
